Dr. Catherine DeMott has been with our clinic since the winter of 1996. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Dr. DeMott was a member of the charter class of Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1984. She worked in Richmond at a three doctor, small animal practice for ten years and a small animal practice in Lynchburg for one year. Dr. DeMott enjoys treating cats and dogs, but she also has an interest in exotic animals such as birds, rabbits, snakes, and iguanas. In her spare time, she enjoys Breyerfest and Renaissance Festivals. Dr. DeMott is also an accomplished singer and has participated in local open mike nights. Dr. DeMott resides in Bassett with the husband, Greg Porter, and their three cats, Whatsis, Tenzing, and Poosh.
