Dr. Emily Lawrence has been a part of the King’s Mountain Animal clinic team since 2008 but stepped into the role of veterinarian in July 2013. She is a native of Franklin County, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 2008. She started her veterinary curriculum at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. After spending three semesters in Grenada, she transferred to the University of Georgia where she completed her DVM degree, with an emphasis in mixed animal, in May 2013. Professionally, her interests include developing more advanced surgical skills as well as practicing large animal medicine whenever there is an opportunity. In her spare time, Dr. Lawrence enjoys doing anything outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
